強烈譴責泰國政府 違返人權公約 侵犯港人入境及學術交流自由
香港眾志秘書長黃之峰先生，於2016年10月5日應朱拉隆功大學（Chulalongkorn University）和法政大學（Thammasat University）邀請，前往曼谷4天演講及分享參與雨傘運動、推動民主自決以及近來成立香港眾志投入競選的經歷。
Strongly condemned the Thai Government's violation of human rights conventions and violated Hong Kong people's freedom of entry and academic exchange
Mr Joshua Wong-Secretary General of Demosistō, was reported that he was detained by the Immigration Department of Thailand for 12 hours.
At the invitation of Chulalongkorn University and Thammasat University, on 5 October 2016, he went to Bangkok for a 4-days speech and shared his experience for the participation in the umbrella movement. And, how the establishment of Demosistō after the movement.
According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, article 9: " No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.." Article 19: " Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.. "
We strongly condemned Thai government for violating Mr Joshua Wong's personal freedom and freedom of entry and exit. We also called on the Thai government to publicly explain its practices and reasons. The Hong Kong Government has solemnly declared to the Thai Government that the rights of Hong Kong people must be safeguarded by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
